Job Purpose

Responsible for all strategic, commercial, and business transformation projects in gas sector, driving business growth by expanding market presence for the company and securing strategic opportunities within the gas industry.
The key role is identifying, pursuing, and closing high-value projects that align with the company's strategic objectives.
 

Principal Accountabilities

1.    Project Sales Management:
•    Identify, pursue, and implement project-based sales opportunities within the gas sector, including infrastructure projects, industrial installations, and large-scale contracts.
•    Drive and lead investment projects in gas facilities and equipment.
•    Develop new applications of LPG and promote use of LPG as a replacement/ alternate fuel wherever feasible.
•    Develop and implement salesstrategies to effectively position the company as the preferred partner for gas-related projects.
•    Oversee the sales process for strategic projects, from initial engagement through to successful completion.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to develop tailored solutions and proposals for project opportunities.
•    Monitor project progress, manage risks, and address any issues that arise to ensure successful outcomes.
•    Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met and cost efficiencies are achieved.
•    Ensure that project documentation, including contracts, proposals, and project plans, are accurate and up-to-date.
•    Develop a project framework for the business in alignment with policies and regulations in place.
•    Responsible for ad-hoc projects and assignments as directed by management.

2.     Partnership Development:
•    Responsible for long term strategic projects; large-scale energy & gas projects, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions...etc. and coordinate with concerned internal departments for implementation.
•    Strong strategic partnership skills with key stakeholders, including government entities, industrial clients, and other relevant organizations.
•    Strong relationship with government authorities to ensure market alignment based on DSCE policies and regulations.
•    Cultivate long-term relationships with other National Oil Companies and partners to drive mutual business growth and achieve strategic objectives.
•    Negotiate and lease all sales and partnership agreements in coordination with Group Legal.

3.    Market Analysis and Strategy:
•    Develop strategies to invigorate an existing market that meet or drive market needs of a good or service, which include having acquired information about its application, function, features, use and support requirements.
•    Identify, evaluate, and pursue new markets for gas business locally and internationally.
•    Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities within the gas industry.
•    Knowledgeable about business set-up and its planning process to address all assets and expenses to achieve overall profitability objectives.
•    Develop and implement refine sales strategies, pricing models, and value propositions to capitalize on market trends and customer needs.
•    Establishing and managing contractual frameworks, ensuring adherence to regulations, laws, and agreements.
•    Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to inform strategic decision-making and resource allocation.

 

Additional Principal Accountabilities

4.    Performance Tracking and Reporting:
•    Monitor and evaluate sales performance against targets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
•    Present regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting projects performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.

5.    Client Relationship Management:
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry influencers.
•    Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic project accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
•    Develop and implement customer retention strategies to enhance long-term client loyalty.

6.    Customer Solutions and Innovation:
•    Collaborate with sales teams to provide customer insights and feedback for new product or service innovations.
•    Work with clients to understand their evolving needs and develop customized solutions that address their specific requirements.
•    Drive initiatives to improve the overall customer experience and increase customer loyalty.

Experience

•    Bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
•    Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in sales management, project management, with a focus on strategic projects in the LPG or related sector.
•    Proven track record of success in strategic sales roles, managing and closing strategic projects with a focus on identifying, pursuing, and closing high-value projects within the gas industry or related sectors.
•    Strong understanding of gas industry dynamics, including regulatory requirements, market trends, and technological advancements.
•    Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationship and influence stakeholders at all levels.
•    Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of developing and executing effective sales strategies to drive business growth.
•    Analytical mindset with proficiency in market research, data analysis, and financial modelling.
•    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
•    Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and oversee project activities.
