Job Purpose

The role assumes various functions with relation to operations, business development activities and project execution.
Acts as operations liaison between aviation operations and marketing and ensures marketing plans take account of supply chain constraints including operations. 
Provides Aviation Technical Services to TSA Holders, including training and inspections.
Assists Manager in due diligence, feasibility studies, sensitivity analyses on BD proposals, and Projects thereof. 
Analyses and contributes to current business supply chain activities, develops new business initiatives in line with AFM Strategy and to optimise profitability, and implements agreed changes thereof.
 

Principal Accountabilities

Primary operations liaison between operating locations and AFM Marketing. Provides facilitation to all locations in the efficient management of operations.
Coordinates all support activities during planning and execution of Operations Projects and Business Development activities.
Provides Aviation Technical Services to TSA Holders, including purchase of equipment. 
Conducts periodic inspections, and training in Aviation QC, Safety and Operations to operations personnel.
Ensures compliance action on recommendations from annual and other inspections of locations.
Answers airlines’ technical queries in consultation with Manager.
Carries out due diligence, feasibility studies, sensitivity analyses on BD proposals in consultation with Manager.
Implements agreed strategy, business objectives and action plans in order to optimize profitability.
Makes relevant presentations and addresses consultant/contractor queries for and during Projects.
Monitors supply-chain costs and develops new initiatives in line with AFM business objectives.
Implements initiatives on supply chain cost management for various locations.
Provides inputs to AFM annual budget.
Ascertains correct cost forecasts and monitors maintenance and project expenditure within budgetary norms.
Undertakes special projects for efficient working and management within AFM.
Represents Manager Operations & BD in Industry forums as leave relief, etc.  
 

Additional Principal Accountabilities

Experience

Minimum Requirements
University Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering 
8 years experience in aviation fuel division of a major oil/gas industry with thorough business understanding of the entire supply chain including airport fuel operations. 
Strong analytical skills, numerical aptitude, good communication and presentation skills and report writing.
Excellent computer literacy. Computer capabilities for presentations, database management, etc.
Proficiency in spoken and written English. Arabic an advantage, but not essential.
Good conceptual ability, organised and systematic.
Excellent team player with good leadership skills.
