Job Purpose

The position is accountable for facilitating the development, implementation and periodic review and maintenance of ENOC’s Business Continuity Program across all lines of ENOC businesses, corporate departments and support functions. The position would be the focal point of contact for any and all matters relating to Business Continuity Management.
The position entails overseeing the development, embedding, testing and improvement of all associated objectives, strategies, Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Policy in accordance with NCEMA and industry/global best practices (i.e., ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management Standard). The incumbent would also be responsible for providing guidance to the Business Continuity Management Steering Committee on budget and manpower planning, performance and effectiveness of the Program, evolving business risks and associated corrective actions. 

Principal Accountabilities

Responsible for the Company-wide co-ordination and application of BCM, risk and compliance with line management responsibility for BCM and Risk compliance 
Risk assessment related to business continuity, which involves analysing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business 
Periodically review, finalize and communicate Business Continuity Policy and objectives for implementation across the ENOC Group of Companies.
As a Technical Authority on BCP for ENOC Group of companies, be responsible for driving and implementing a Business Continuity Management, its governance and maintaining the framework to foster effective planning, response and recovery activities associated with any disruption to ENOC businesses.
Work closely with Manager – Enterprise Risk Management in promoting and delivering Business Continuity Management Program awareness (presentations, campaigns, training, etc.).
Coordinate and help to comply with external stakeholders like NCEMA /Dubai Supreme Council of Energy for process requirements
Assist Internal Auditors and special investigations relating to BCM 
Facilitate and guide business/corporate units (and their Business Continuity Champions) in completing business impact analysis (BIA) reports on a periodic basis in order to manage critical business functions/processes, resources and internal & external dependencies.
Review and evaluate the BIA outcomes for appropriateness and communicate the same to the Business Continuity Management Steering Committee 
Determine and deliver recovery objectives and establish specific requirements for Business Continuity Plans 0at Group-level and within business / corporate / support units.
Develop and periodically review and institute a comprehensive/overarching ENOC Group-level Business Continuity Plan. Facilitate/ oversee the development, implementation and exercising of executable business continuity plans for all lines of ENOC business, corporate departments and support functions.
 

Additional Principal Accountabilities

Facilitate business units and multi-disciplinary teams in the identification and development of strategic / operational processes and required resources to ensure business continuity and resilience.
Collaborate with key business/corporate units to plan, schedule and execute exercising and readiness activities.
Lead and embed a culture of continual improvement and sharing of lessons learned in order to maintain effective continuity and recovery plans.
Enable establishment of key performance indicators and other governance and compliance requirements for business continuity.
Periodically train and guide Business Continuity Champions and other Steering Committee Members on BCM best practices and a broad range of roles and responsibilities.
Key objective of business continuity Executive:
Contingency Planning – Identify potential business interruptions, coordinate developing of safeguards and procedures against these interruptions with concerned internal and external parties, 
Disaster Recovery – Coordinate with business units and group entities to safeguard operations by identifying problem areas and single point of failures that may interrupt operations,
Business Recovery – Develop safeguards and Business Continuity Plans and Procedures governing ENOC Group entities and locations of BU operations
Risk Management - Work closely with Manager – Enterprise Risk Management to identify and categorize outage exposures that could cause a business interruption and build safeguards.
Apply experience in the Oil and Gas domain for achieving effectiveness in business continuity management program across ENOC group and sharing of best practices within ENOC Group companies
Undertake initiative of special projects within Group companies in respect of overall O&G supply chain,
Ensure BU related BCM documentation to be complete and updated
Identify evolving business risks in coordination with BU Heads and suggest risk mitigation measures and improvement opportunities to the respective Business Continuity Plans
Review new project conceptual designs to ensure BCP requirements are embedded right upfront in the project planning cycle. Similarly, identify evolving business risks in coordination with BU Heads and suggest risk mitigation measures and improvement opportunities to the respective Business Continuity Plans
 

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or Engineering.
Minimum 10-15 years of directly related experience within a large and complex organization, which includes interfacing with internal stakeholders on leading the planning and execution of Business Continuity and Process Improvement projects.
BCM related qualification from a recognized institution and certificate courses in BCM and related domains.
Have a strong presence and can interact with the GCEO and senior management on matters related to business continuity
Ability to work with all levels of management and across business units and departments
