Job Purpose
Reporting directly to the HSE Head Retail, the incumbent is responsible for providing the required HSE specialist support to the Retail Engineering Projects team in all new projects under construction as requested by the HSEQ Head.
Principal Accountabilities
Under the directions of HSEQ Head-Retail and in coordination with the Sr. Technical Manager
Retail, lead the development and implementation of the HSE Retail Project Safety Management
System based on the ENOC GHSE Guidelines in this regard.
Monitor & track the HSE performance of Retail Projects as per the set Kips, analyze trends and recommend appropriate corrective measures for continuous improvements.
Develop and communicate the Retail Projects HSE policies, procedures, standards and best industry practices to fulfil the requirements of the Retail HSE Projects Safety MS. 4) Arrange for the regular HSE audits of all Retail Projects by ENOC GHSE or any other stakeholders as & when required
Ensure the daily HSE inspections for projects under construction and follow up on the required actions till closure and maintain records of the same.
Coordinate with the Project Engineers the projects plans and ensure HSE compliance in all related aspects within the plan.
Facilitate and conduct regular EHS Committee meetings for ENOC Retail Projects Team, and work as focal point for the MOC system requirements.
Support the provision of Permit-To-Work process and reviews of Safety Method Statements & monitor construction activities to ensure compliance to the company polices & procedures in this regard such as working at heights, excavation & trenching, housekeeping etc.
Ensure the timely reporting incidents & Near-Misses to the HSEQ Head Retail
Support in incidents & near-miss's investigation process and sharing of lessons learned foam those incidents through the Safety Alerts bulletins and different training programs.
Ensure effective Emergency Preparedness & Response System in place through checking of Fire Fighting equipment & contractors' awareness.
Maintain up-to-date proper documentation system for all above activities for audit purpose and as per the IMS requirements.
Work as a focal point for dealing with local authorities, such as RTA, DM, and Civil Defense, where such collaboration can save valuable time of project lifecycle.
Ensure the adequacy of Welfare Facilities at the construction site, including provision of First Aid kits.
Liaise with Group Sustainability for the required compliance to Energy &
Resource Management and Environmental requirements.
Additional Principal Accountabilities
Experience
Education: Bachelor degree as a minimum, preferably in any technical discipline.
Work Experience: At least 3 to 4 years of experience in construction safety fields.
Behavioral & Functional Competencies: Good communication and presentation skills are required. Knowledge of Office Automation products (MS XL, Word, & PowerPoint) is required.
