Job Purpose

Fuel Farm Electrical Supervisor is responsible for Preventive and Breakdown Maintenance of all Electrical, Instrumentation and SCADA systems of the Fuel Farm and the Fuel H draft S stem.

Principal Accountabilities

Maintenance of Electrical System:
Condition monitoring of Motors, Generators,
Testing and Maintenance of Transformers, LV Panel Boards, Switchgear (ACBs), MCC & Starters (DOL, Star-Delta, Soft Starters, Power Contactors/Relays etc.), Auto Transfer Switches, Capacitor Banks etc.
Testing and Maintenance of Motor Operated Valves / Actuators in the Depot as well as on the Hydrant System.
Maintenance of Distribution Boards and control devices (Control Relays, ELCB, MCB, MCCB etc.)
Maintenance of Indoor and Outdoor lighting systems.
Operation and maintenance of high-pressure electric pumps for fuel transfer and hydrant operation and product recovery pumps.
Monitoring and maintenance of Cathodic Protection system for hydrant pipeline as well as JIFF Depot Underground Pipelines and Tank Bottoms,
Operation, testing and maintenance of Uninterrupted power supplies (UPS) and auto changeover systems and battery banks.Periodic Inspection, Testing and Monitoring of Earthing systems.
Preventive and Breakdown Maintenance of Package and standalone Air Conditioning Systems.
Periodic Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Electrical systems as per JIG/ Industry requirements.
Maintenance of Instrumentation, SCADA & PLC Systems
Periodic inspection, testing, and maintenance of SCADA & PLC system for Depot and Airport Fuel Hydrant Systems.
Calibration of critical Instruments as per JIG / Industry specified frequencies.
Emergency Systems
Operation and Maintenance of Electric and Diesel engine driven Fire Pumps, Jockey Pumps and control systems as per manufacturer's recommendations.
Routine inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Fire Monitoring and Alarm System.
Testing of Leak Detection Systems in Depot and Hydrant Systems.
Testing & Maintenance of standby DG Sets with auto start features as per manufacturer's recommendations.
Monitoring and maintenance of Battery and charger systems Testing and Maintenance of EFSO/ESD system
 Testing and Maintenance of emergency lighting system.
Safety Instrumentation Systems
Fuel storage tank gauging system and radar level gauges
Tank level switches and control systems
Maintenance of Flow and Pressure transmitter, Gauges, Switches
Period inspection, testing and monitoring of safe instrumentation systems
Operation* Maintenance, testing and programming of MOV, Level
TransmittersInspection, maintenance, testing and calibration of Loading Meters
Communication And Security Systems
Operation and Maintenance of Security Barrier gates
Maintenance of CCTV and control systems
Maintenance of telephone, intercom and PA system
 

Additional Principal Accountabilities

Terminal Facilities
 Operation and maintenance of A/C and ventilation system* Air Compressor etc b, Operation and maintenance of water pumps with auto start-stop controls Knowledge about testing tools/measuring instruments and calibrations.
HSSE
Responsible for implementation of specific roles outlined in the HSSE Annual Plan. Issuing / Monitoring Authority for Safe Work Permits.
Electrical Isolating Authority.
Perform assigned duties in the JIFF Emergency Response plan.
Active participation in safety meetings to improve safety & operational performance of the Fuel Farm.
Ensure good housekeeping of all facilities in the Fuel Farm by proper utilization of operators and contract staff.
Communication
Maintain effective verbal and written communication with peers, subordinates and the Fuel Farm Manager.
Also cordial and effective verbal and written communication with external agencies like into-plane refueling operations, supply terminals, airport officials, AMC Vendors and other contract staff.
immediately reporting all near misses, incidents & accidents.
Vendor Management
Schedule and Implement periodic / preventing / breakdown maintenance programs through designated AMC vendors for various systems like PLC / SCADA, Fire Fighting Systems, Cathodic Protection Systems, Electrical Switchgear UPS* Air Conditioning etc.
Develop Vendors for Service and Spares for various Electrical Systems and Components improve availability of spares and reduce Breakdown recovery time,
Monitor Procurement, Material Delivery, invoicing and Payment cycles to ensure timely procurement and disbursement to vendors.
Continuous Improvement
Identify Obsolescence / Needs for Upgrades to critical equipment and develop proposals for necessary replacement or upgrade projects.
Develop Budgetary Estimates for identified Projects.
Plan and Execute approved CAPEX projects.
Continuously Engage with Staff / Supervisors to obtain feedback on performance of Electrical and SCADA systems with the objective of identify in areas for improvement
 

Experience

Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 5 years work experience.
Diploma in Electrical Engineering (with 8 year working experience in Electrical and Instrumentation environment)
5 years* experience as an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor Level in an Airport Terminal is preferred.
Thorough understanding of electrical engineering, applications, power distribution systems &networks
Able to read and interpret as built drawings, electric single wire diagrams, interconnection diagrams, cable layouts etc.
Proficiency in English and good verbal and written communication skills.
Computer skills to operate Power Point, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and any ERP/related package.
UAE driving license required.
