Job Purpose
1.To plan and carry out Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance activities of all terminals of EIL.
2.To supervise the work done by various technicians and contractors.
3.To allocate / arrange manpower, spares, tools and equipment for maintenance work
Principal Accountabilities
1.Plan for various predictive, preventive and corrective maintenances following maintenance procedure.
2.Organize maintenance of Electrical & Instrumentation equipment of three terminals and three berths in Jebel Ali and one terminal in Fujairah, through technicians and contractors.
3.Supervise field work of contractors.
4.Supervision of E&I technicians.
5.Ensure availability of equipment spare parts.
6.Pre-commissioning and commissioning of new facilities on projects.
7.Carries out process improvement measures to enhance Terminal Maintenance /
8.Monitor the general condition of maintenance system.
9.Supervise outside contractors performing equipment maintenance.
10.Plan and supervise preventive maintenance day to day jobs
11.Plan and insure availability of spare parts as required in conjunction with purchase department, stores and suppliers.
12.Supervise calibration of all product flow meters, weigh bridges.
13.Project work on commissioning and de-commissioning facilities :
•Participate in review new project documents / drawings as required.
•Participate in project HAZOP design and review.
•Monitors contractors during projects pre-commissioning stages and ensuring proper equipment testing / installation.
14.Assist in the section budget preparation.
15.Ensures compliance to EIL EHS requirements.
16.Responds to emergency call outs as and when required by Operations department.
17.Trouble shoots equipment failures.

18.Preventive and Breakdown maintenance of all Electrical & Instrumentation equipment including :
•Substations
•Power generators
•MCCs
•Switch gears and DBs
•Instruments like radar gauges, flow meters, control valves
•Control system like SCADA
•Fire alarm system
•Lighting system
•Earthing system
•Hydraulic controls
•Motors
•Cabling
19.Comply / Implement the IMS Policy.
20.Follow all EHS Instructions, setting an example to others
21.Stop any unsafe work/act and report to the Department Manager / Supervisor and EHS department.
INTERACTION / WORK RELATIONSHIPS
Has to interact with Shift supervisors and other operation staff, construction / maintenance contractors, and equipment suppliers. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important for successful completion of tasks and in managing contractors and subordinates.
JOB COMPLEXITY /ENVIRONMENT
The job covers maintenance on a diverse range of equipment disciplines . Proper planning, on time resolving of problems and completion of tasks within schedule is essential in successfully meeting Operational requirements. Advanced equipment trouble shooting skills are critical in mitigating any delays to operations during equipment failure.
Experience
Minimum Requirements
•Diploma / Trade Certificate from a recognized Technical College.
•Experience of maintenance work in Oil & Gas industry (minimum 6 years for Diploma holder in engineering and 12 years for trade certificates)
•Strong analytical skills
•Basic computer skills
•Familiarity with computer based maintenance management system
•Good communication skills’, verbal and written skills in English, and is able to maintain good working personnel relations.
•Ability to plan and implement maintenance schedules
