Commercial Manager - HTL

Business

Job Purpose

To manage the the commercial department by handling all commercial related activities within HTL Network through performing the following but not limited to activities of developing and updating the commercial standard Policies and procedures, Conducting commercial negotiations and finalizing deals and Marketing HTL and performing branding activities. 

Principal Accountabilities

1.Commercial and Marketing 
•Contributes, as a member of the management team, to the formulation of the overall terminal strategy and plays a role in corporate decision making on a continuing basis
•Recommends and achieves revenues for HETL, EIL, HDTL, HTTSA and ATT to the approved business plan and budgets
•Negotiates commercial terms with clients basis on the market rate and basis on the required returns for new terminals.
•Develops and recommends pricing policies and discount structures, which enable the achievement of the terminal’s profit targets.
•Benchmarks HTL terminals against other major terminals: benchmarking the marketability of HJATL, HDTL, HTTSA and ATT which comprise of commercial terms such as tank rental  rates and down stream activities, location, competitors in the market, accessibility to the terminals and other factors            
•Creates awareness for HTL through the development of various branding and marketing tools; such as:  development and update of HTL website, development of brochures and leaflet handouts, participation and sponsorships of forums and conferences, advertising in the leading oil, chemical and terminalling publications and contributing stories to leading magazines 
•Identifies key potential clients HJATL , HDTL, HTTSA and ATT and builds strategic relationships with clients
•Attracts new clients to terminals in the Middle East and Africa
Resolves post contractual commercial issues
2. Research & Project 
•Develops commercial standard operational procedures (SOP) for HTL and updates it regularly
•Proposes and recommends studies for Petroleum/Petrochemicals sector if the need arises for expansion purposes to evaluate the competitive advantage of a particular terminal

Cyber Information Security Responsibilities


Comply with all applicable information security policies, standards, and procedures.
Classify and protect information assets in accordance with the Data Classification Standard.
Participate in mandatory information security awareness and training programs.
Support information security initiatives and activities within the organization.
Consider information security requirements when managing changes involving information assets.
Report security incidents, vulnerabilities, weaknesses, or non-compliance in accordance with established procedures.
Fulfil role-specific information security responsibilities and contribute to maintaining the effectiveness of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).

Experience

•Bachelors Degree in management with a preference of MBA
•Minimum of 8 to 10 years in oil related industries
•Working knowledge of oil trading including physical logistics
•Experience with market research and analysis of the oil and petrochemical markets
•Experience in terminalling industry
•Experience in budget preparations, financial accounts and statements, and cost structure analysis
•Excellent MS office applications use and presentation skills
